You Add to P.E.O. is a fun initiative within the P.E.O. Sisterhood where chapters are challenged to add two or more active members by February 28, 2025. Chapters that meet this initiative are eligible for special recognition, including being featured on the P.E.O. website.
Chapter FK, Edmond, Oklahoma, was selected for September! As of September 1, the chapter had added 3 new members since the beginning of the initiative. Read below to learn more about the chapter.
What does your chapter do for fun?
We have a very active social committee. They plan different events every month, ranging from happy hours to bunco to museum events or shows. We try to plan something for everyone.
What has been your most successful fundraiser?
We have organized Christmas auctions and have had very successful mail-in donation card fundraisers. The donation card fundraisers have been popular because all our members, including those out of town and those not able to attend meetings, can participate.
What is your best tip for finding new members?
We invite potential members to our social events. Our members look in their social circles and volunteer organizations. We have even received recommendations from friends of other P.E.O chapters in other cities.
