You will hear that most members say that having a sense of belonging and participating in meaninful philanthropy are the two most important aspects of being a member of P.E.O. Ruth will also explain the recommendations Noel-Levitz has for P.E.O., with the goal of making sure the organization grows.
Recommendations include:
- Increasing emphasis on activities that foster friendship and philanthropy; decreasing emphasis on regulations and requirements
- Developing a formal membership initiative that is focused on recruiting younger women
- Reducing duties and reporting requirements for presidents and officers so they can spend time developing activities that promote belonging and philanthropy.
- Increasing the frequency of communication among local chapters and with International Chapter
