P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) was founded on January 21, 1869, by seven students at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Today, P.E.O. has grown from that small membership of seven to almost a quarter of a million members in chapters in the United States and Canada. The P.E.O. Sisterhood is passionate about its mission: promoting educational opportunities for women. Our sisterhood proudly makes a difference in women's lives with six philanthropies that include ownership of Cottey College, an independent, liberal arts and sciences college for women, and five other philanthropies that provide higher educational assistance which include the P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund, P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund, P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, P.E.O. Scholar Awards, and P.E.O. STAR Scholarship.

Document and Event Coordinator

P.E.O. is seeking applicants for the position of Document and Event Coordinator at the P.E.O. Executive Office. This full-time position manages revisions to all documents (forms, manuals, publications, printed materials, etc.) and is responsible for the registration and housing for International Convention as well as travel and logistics for P.E.O. boards and committees and other special events. Hours are Mondays through Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Regular, full-time employees are eligible for paid time off, paid holidays, funeral leave, sick leave and have the option to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance plans.

Chapter Supply Coordinator

P.E.O. is seeking applicants for the position of Chapter Supply Coordinator at the P.E.O. Executive Office. This full-time position coordinates the supplies for local and state/provincial/district chapters. Hours are Mondays through Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Regular, full-time employees are eligible for paid time off, paid holidays, funeral leave, sick leave and have the option to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance plans.
