Husband's Initials — A Good Thing?
We've had questions about the necessity of including a husband's initial when sending in an address change. This in no way is meant to demean women or to discriminate against those who happen to be single! We need this information at International to maintain an accurate database. It's surprising how often a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, for instance, have the very same name! So, we then go to the husband's initials to differentiate. It's very helpful, and we hope you can help us pass on that info when the subject comes up.
